To send funds abroad under your R10m Foreign Investment Allowance (FIA), you have to be tax compliant and in possession of a valid Tax Clearance Status (TCS) PIN letter from SARS.
To obtain a TCS PIN, you have to submit an Approval for International Transfer (AIT) application on the SARS eFiling website for the value which you’d like to send abroad and provide the relevant supporting documents.
